You want to get in shape. You know you have to diet and exercise but you're not sure what to do.
You go online, try thumbing through a couple of books and magazines but the information is overwhelming.
You want to get started and see results---not spend years trying to figure out what you have to do to get them.
You decide to hire a Personal Trainer.
In theory, a good Personal Trainer will:
- Find out what your fitness goals and expectations are.
- Assess your current physical condition and identify realistic goals and reasonable time frames to achieve them in.
- Go over the 6 fundamental components of a well-rounded fitness program and explain why they're important.
- Discuss the differences between free weight and machine exercises and point out the pros and cons of each.
- Demonstrate the safe handling of free weights and the proper use of machines.
- Provide you with a wide variety of effective exercises and demonstrate how to safely perform each of them.
- Provide you with result-producing routines, tailored to fit your needs.
- Teach you how to create your own effective training routines.
- Provide you with a variety of techniques to keep you motivated and your training fresh.
- Answer questions you have about diet, nutrition and exercise.
- Go over success strategies to ensure you achieve your goals.
- Provide an easy way to track what you're doing and chart your progress.
- Make fitness fun so living a healthy lifestyle becomes a part of you, not just something you have to do.
The Unfortunate Reality Is:
- On average, personal trainers need to charge $70.00 or more per hour to make you worth their time.
- Just because someone is certified as a personal trainer doesn't necessarily mean they're qualified to train others. Passing a test and knowing what works from real life experience are two different things.
- Unless they own the health club, have their own private studio or train you in your home, personal trainers don't make money unless the gym that hired them makes money. This means much of their time has to be spent on pushing new memberships, getting more clients and pushing other programs, services and products the club has to offer---and that leaves little time to focus on you and your needs.
THE HARSH TRUTH...
I'm not here to trash personal trainers---I'm one myself---but unless you're able or willing to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to hire your own private fitness guru, chances are you won't get the personal attention or results you deserve from the vast majority of personal trainers you find in the gym. They simply don't have the time and unfortunately, many do not have your best interests in mind.
There, I've said it. Now you know why I'm so popular with many of my peers. But truth is truth, facts are facts, and since I've already opened Pandora's Box I'm going to tell you what others won't and something you may not want to hear.
- It is impossible for anyone to cover everything you need to know in just a few conversations or training sessions.
- Even if they could, it would be impossible for you to learn or retain it all.
- A good Personal Trainer or Fitness Consultant is there to provide you with quality information and the means to achieve your goals---NOT train with you or be your workout buddy. That's what training partners are for.
- If you want to hire a personal trainer to be your workout buddy that's fine. There's plenty of them out there willing to do it---but it'll cost ya. (I volunteer to be the first in line!)
Look, the only reason to hire a personal trainer in the first place is so you can start seeing results instead of spending months or even years trying to figure out how to get them.
This type of personal attention costs money. Not only are you paying for someone's time, you're paying for their expertise and ability to give you results.
Unfortunately, this is a luxury most of us simply can't afford---until now.
WARNING: Here comes the sales pitch!
Short of having me there in person, using my LIFT 4 LIFE Training System is like hiring me to be your own personal trainer for a full year.
The advantage for you is:
- I'm available to answer your questions and instruct you 24 hours a day (Meaning the information I provide you with is---not that you can actually call me at 3 am. Though you are welcome to email me anytime.)
- You'll receive the same information, exercises and routines my clients and I personally use to achieve our goals and create the bodies we want. (It just won't cost you 75 bucks an hour.)
- You don't have to listen to me drone on and on endlessly about trivial things like what happened on the latest episodes of LOST, Smallville, and House.
The advantage for me is I get to put to better use what I spent 35 years learning and almost 20 years doing---and that's helping others reshape their bodies and improve their lives with a little thing called exercise.
The only difference now is there's no limit to the number of people I can help. Time is no longer a factor.
This is why I created my LIFT 4 LIFE Training System in the first place. To give everyone I can't train personally the same opportunity to create the body they want and ability to achieve their goals---whatever they may be.
If it was just about money---if that's all being a personal trainer was for me---I wouldn't have spent 10 years putting it all together and offering it to you.
